Description
Using information technology (IT) to help companies deliver tangible results and create business value is absolutely critical in today's business climate. The Information Technology Management B.B.A. degree focuses on both the technology and business skills needed to convert information into business results. A cultural gap often divides the IT Department from the rest of the business. Companies need individuals skilled in the art of converting business needs into IT solutions. People who can manage and communicate effectively between these two cultures are needed to bridge the gap and help insure the success of the company. It is individuals with these unique skill sets that will become the future chief information officers, vice presidents, and directors.
The long term goal of the Information Technology Management B.B.A. program is to develop individuals with these skills. This program is divided up into two major components. The IT component includes project management, systems analysis, programming, and networking and communication concepts. The business component includes marketing, business law, statistics, human resource management, corporate finance, and management communications. The program includes an internship semester where you will apply what you have learned while advancing your skills and knowledge by working in a real company. Upon graduation, you will be ready to join the leaders in using IT to drive business results, providing new opportunities for the business and for yourself!
